Building the Platform He Once Needed
Hollywood 40's Small Table exists because one artist decided to stop waiting for a seat at the table — and build one himself.
Why the Small Table?
There's always been a disconnect between what an artist performs and what they actually mean. The stage is big. The lights are bright. But the real story — the one that made the song — happens in small rooms, late nights, and hard moments that never make it to the interview.
Hollywood 40 created The Small Table to close that gap. Five live records. One live band. One choir. And then a conversation that goes where most shows are afraid to go.
Think Arsenio Hall's energy. Jimmy Fallon's warmth. NPR Tiny Desk's intimacy. And something entirely new — a format built for artists who have something real to say, at every stage of their career.
"The performance is the invitation. The interview is the truth."

Hollywood 40
Hollywood 40's story doesn't begin with awards or a stage. It begins with a decision to keep going. The Columbus, Georgia artist, musician, music director, and U.S. Army veteran has built a career rooted in music, accountability, and second chances.
He began playing as a church musician at just 12 years old before joining the Army at 17 and deploying to Iraq. Following an accidental shooting in 2011, Hollywood 40 faced an involuntary manslaughter conviction — a chapter he now speaks about through the lens of accountability, faith, and rebuilding. Music became part of that rebuild.
His career has since expanded into live performance, musical direction, and show production. He earned a Hollywood Music in Media Awards nomination for "On Da Floor," and his catalog includes "Walk It Back," a collaboration with Grammy-winning artist CeeLo Green.
Small Table represents the type of platform Hollywood 40 says he once needed himself — somewhere artists at different stages of their careers can be heard, developed, and presented with intention. His story is ultimately less about erasing the past than deciding what comes after it.
"Hollywood 40 has transformed his experiences into something larger than his own artist journey. Now, he's building the table — and creating room for other artists to sit at it too."— The Campaign ATL
Undisputed TrackHuslaz
The Undisputed TrackHuslaz are not a backing band. They are a collective of elite musicians who have mastered the art of live performance across every genre — hip-hop, R&B, soul, gospel, trap, and beyond. When a guest artist steps to the Small Table, the TrackHuslaz don't just play the song. They elevate it.
Hollywood Trap Choir
The Hollywood Trap Choir is unlike anything you've heard before. Rooted in gospel tradition but fluent in every modern sound, they bring a spiritual dimension to every performance at the Small Table. When the choir joins in, a good song becomes a cultural moment — the kind that stays with you long after the last note fades.
What We Stand For
Authenticity
No playback. No lip sync. No shortcuts. Every performance at the Small Table is real — because the artists we invite deserve nothing less.
Story
The song is the beginning. The story behind it is what we're here for. We go where most shows won't — into the real moments that made the music.
Legacy
Every session at the Small Table is a document. A record of an artist at a specific moment in time, telling the truth about their work. That's what lasts.
