Hollywood 40
Hollywood 40's story doesn't begin with awards or a stage. It begins with a decision to keep going. The Columbus, Georgia artist, musician, music director, and U.S. Army veteran has built a career rooted in music, accountability, and second chances.
Hollywood 40 is a multiple award-winning and Internationally Nominated recording artist, musician, music director, and U.S. Army veteran from Columbus, Georgia. Born Ardese Day Jr., he is the creator and driving force behind Hollywood 40's Small Table, bringing his experience as a performer, bandleader, and storyteller into a platform built around exceptional live music and authentic conversation.
His musical foundation began in church, where he was already working as a paid drummer at just 12 years old. His grandmother's gift of his first keyboard and drum set helped spark a pursuit that would become his profession. At 17, he joined the U.S. Army, serving a 15-month deployment to Iraq beginning at age 18. Those experiences continue to shape the perspective, discipline, and determination he brings to his work.
As a recording artist, Hollywood 40 has earned international award nominations and collaborated with artists such as CeeLo Green on "Walk It Back," which received consideration for Best Rap Song & Best Melodic Rap Performance at the 66th Grammy Awards. His career also extends beyond his own recordings. Serving as music director for Sean "The Pen" Garrett at Red Bull's Atlanta headquarters, he assembled a live band and choir in just seven days, demonstrating his ability to turn an ambitious musical vision into a fully realized performance.
That same musicianship drives Hollywood 40's Small Table, where he serves as executive producer, director, host, and music director. Through its television performance and interview format and its live concert experiences, Small Table creates space for artists' voices, stories, and musical ability to take center stage. Alongside The Undisputed TrackHuslaz and the Hollywood Trap Choir, Hollywood 40 builds performances that bring the energy of hip-hop, the feeling of R&B, the flare of Pop, numerous other genres and the depth of his church musical roots into one experience.
From the church stand to the concert stage, Hollywood 40's purpose remains consistent: create music people feel, give talent room to shine, and bring audiences together through a shared musical experience.
